Mikel captained the team in the last two Qualifiers against Cameroon Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel discloses he has no immediate plans to retire from professional football and plans to play at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The midfielder has won Uefa Champions League, Europa League, English Premier League, FA Cup and African Cup of Nations. He has also played at one World Cup but he says he intends to play at another. “I’m 30 years old and still have a long way to go and I still want to play till God knows when,” he told media in Yaounde.
